I am a Full Professor and Chair of Mathematical Sciences at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. Since 1985 I am a member of the Institute of Computer Science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. In 2009 I became the successor of Professor Zdzislaw Denkowski on the Chair of Optimization and Control at JUK. In 2014-2017 I enjoy an appointment to Visiting Professor at Institute of Mathematics, Lodz University of Technology.
My research interests cover differential equations, nonlinear functional analysis, methods and techniques of nonlinear analysis, calculus of variations, control theory, identification, homogenization, mathematical modeling of physical systems, applications of PDEs to problems of mechanics.
